How many times have you heard your alarm go off in the morning and you don’t have the excitement to get out of bed? Well, for some, it’s a routine. Their bedroom is actually a sanctuary they can’t just leave behind. If you’re not into this bandwagon yet, then follow the steps on how you can make your bedroom a place you never want to leave -- except when you have work.

Add Pillows

If you really want your bedroom to be a sanctuary, then don’t be afraid to add lots of pillows on your bed. Pillows make you more comfortable and being able to sink into a big pile of them makes it much easier to fall asleep after a long day. It’ll also be quite easy to relax and watch TV as well. Mix and match different colors, styles and types of pillows to get the perfect arrangement.

Try a Down Comforter

Nothing is quite as soft or comfortable as down. If you’re not comfortable with a real down, then opt for other alternatives that are very similar. They’ll have the same great softness and plush feeling without the actual animal feathers. Once you try a down comforter you will never want to go back to a regular one again.

Fluffy Rug

If you want to get a great feeling when you first get up in the morning then get a big, plush rug. Lay a rug next to your bed, where your feet hit the floor first thing in the morning. That softness under your feet when you first get up is going to make you excited to face the day (or at least excited to get up out of bed).

A Canopy Fit For a Princess

What little girl doesn’t want a canopy bed at some time in their life? Well, now is the perfect time to get one. Hang a curtain from the ceiling and let it drape down both sides of your bed. It doesn’t have the same closed-in feeling of a canopy but it definitely does have a great regal feel that’s going to help you feel like you’re a princess every time you go to bed.

Put Up A Chandelier

A chandelier contributes to that royal feeling as well. You’ll love seeing a big, sparkly chandelier hanging over your bed when you first wake up and when you’re heading to bed each night. It makes your room feel like a private getaway.

Find Someone to Share it With

You don’t need a significant other to make your room more comfortable, but a pet can definitely help you feel more cozy. Having a cat or a dog to snuggle up with will make you feel even better about laying around in your bed all day long. You may never leave your bed again.
