7 Helpful Tips to Make You a Healthy and Happy Morning Person

Does waking up in the early morning such a struggle that you need to drag your lazy self out of the bed to take a shower? When was the last time you woke up with your original alarm without the need of a snooze? Oh, the struggles of being a morning person are real. We know how hard it is to synchronize your body clock so here are some helpful tips that might make you a healthy and a happy one morning person:

Avoid Late Night Smart Phone Checking

So you lay in bed at 9 in the evening and you’re determined to drift off to dreamland before 10 but sleep is far from happening so you decided to check Facebook, Twitter and even Instagram for a few minutes. The next thing you know, your 5-10 minutes turned out to be an hour so you miss your 10 p.m. sleeping goal. What’s the best thing to do to avoid such turmoil and remedy such situation? Make sure to turn off your phone or even put it in a flight mode once you are in your comfy bed, this in turn will prevent you from the urge of checking your phone.

Practice a Good Sleeping Pattern

Make it a habit to go to bed at a daily schedule since it will allow you to get a quality sleep. A peaceful and restful sleep will ensure that you will have enough energy the following day thus giving you positive vibes and happy thoughts once you wake up. If you wish to move your sleeping schedule a bit earlier than your usual one, do it step-by-step by forwarding it by just 15 minutes a time. Sudden and drastic changes can keep you falling in and out of your regular bedtime schedule than creating a a long-term change.

Follow a Nightly Routine

Making a schedule and following it religiously can help hint our bodies of what’s to come especially if you make it a habit. Keeping a regular nightly routine before your bed time helps you chill and relax a bit before you feel your eyes getting heavier thus signaling you to turn off the lights and get that much needed forty winks. Drink chamomile or jasmine tea and read your favorite book for 30 minutes each night and follow this routine diligently. You’ll eventually notice how good this is to making you a happy morning person.

Switch Off Lights

Dim off the lights or better yet switch them off as any kind of illumination might disrupt your circadian rhythm thus making it hard to get some shut-eye. Also, that glaring blue light discharged by smartphones and other electronics like laptops and tablets actually do more harm to your sleep than natural and ordinary light. So it is always advisable to turn off your devices once you’ve hit the bed, pronto! 

Don’t Skip Breakfast

What’s the best thing to look forward to each day to wake up? Umm, breakfast! They said breakfast is the most important meal of the day so never ever skip this one out of your daily meal schedules. Taking breakfast paves the way to healthy eating and also gives you that much needed energy you’ll need for the rest of the day thus giving you happy hormones that will last throughout the day. A healthy and hearty breakfast might include a bar of granola, cereals with fruits, milk, and a cup of coffee.

Incorporate A Morning Exercise

Did you know that exercise can actually make you happy? While exercising, your body releases dopamine, a chemical that has been scientifically proven to be responsible for one’s happiness and is a neurotransmitter that sends signal to the brain for feelings of pleasure and joyfulness. 

Be Grateful for Each Morning You Wake Up

Why not practice gratitude on a daily basis? Being thankful for waking up each day can change your attitude towards life and you may even look forward to waking up the following morning. Acknowledge every morning as a gift and make the most of it as it will certainly make you a happy morning person. Once you have this infectious happy disposition, you might even influence and affect those people around you. Spread the happy good morning vibes!
