The Best Performances at CMAs 2015
From Justin Timberlake to Kacey Musgraves – here’s who sizzled at country music’s biggest night this year.
The 49th CMA Awards saw some groundbreaking performances, full of country fervor and celebrated new trends emerging on the country scene. While some veterans faced some serious completion from promising new acts like Maddie and Tae, most of them got sidelined by none other than Justin Timberlake.
So we decided to compile a list of the best performances and defining moments of the night for you!
Justin Timberlake & Chris Stapleton - Drink You Away
So Chris Stapleton didn’t just take home only the most important awards this year. Of what was clearly the night’s high point- we saw his brilliant collaboration of Justin Timberlake. What ensued was a killer combo of R&B meeting country somewhere in the middle ground and oh boy, did we enjoy this whiskey!
Miranda Lambert - Bathroom Sink
Miranda in her denim jacket brought out her rock chic avatar with a full of hear rendition of Bathroom Silk off her album Platinum.
Keith Urban - John Cougar John Deere John 3:16
Keith Urban made a smooth transition from the guitar to the bass and we’ve gotta say he totally nailed that bass. Yes, Urban proved yet again that when it is country music we are talking he is the veteran we cannot miss.
(PS: we couldn't find the CMA's performance, so here's the official video instead!).
Blake Shelton – Gonna
It was no less than a sugar rush watching Blake Shelton deliver his high energy country swag out. Shelton’s performance provided the much-needed balance to the night by adding vigour to the otherwise mellow performances.
Little Big Town - Girl Crush
The surprise package of the evening was the soulful performance by Little Big Town of their song “Girl Crush”. They stole the show with their much talked about song and power vocals. Who wouldn’t have crush on that!
(And here's another good song performed during the CMA's which unfortunately isn't viewable anymore).
Kacey Musgraves - Dime Store Cowgirl
And finally it was Kacey Musgraves who deserved a special up for being the best cowgirl in town! She looked a million dollars in her cowboy boots and sparkly western hat and outfit. This girl sure knows how to take the spotlight with style!
