China’s President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan arrived in the UK last night for a four-day state visit  night, while members of the Royal Family and politicians are already lining up to greet the leader.

This is Xi’s first UK state visit since 2005. The four-day state visit has already been hailed by officials from both countries as the beginning of a “golden era” of the relations between Beijing and London.

Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was brought down by a Russian-made Buk missile, according to the Dutch Safety Board, which investigated the crash.

The Russian-made missile hit the front left of the plane which results in other parts of the Boeing 777 to break off. The disaster that took place in July 2014 and killed 298 people, including 196 Dutch nationals and 10 Britons.
