GOP front-runner Donald Trump says new mayor of London would be one of “exceptions” to his proposed ban on Muslims from entering the United States. 

The real estate mogul has previously announced plans to ban Muslims from traveling to the U.S., which worried the newly elected mayor of London Sadiq Khan, who is a Muslim. 

Khan had been concerned he wouldn’t be able to travel to the U.S. if Trump assumes the presidency in November this year.

The European Union is set to adopt visa-free travel for Turkey’s citizens inside EU’s passport-free Schengen area. According to sources cited by the BBC, the European Commission will back the new traveling measures. 

The visa-free travel measures come after Turkey promised to take back migrants who illegally got to Greece to seek refuges there.

Gross negligence as well as police errors resulted in 96 deaths of football fans, the inquests concluded on Tuesday. The conclusion comes 27 years after the 1989 Hillsborough disaster. 

The court concluded that match commander Ch Supt David Duckenfield is to blame for manslaughter by gross negligence due to his inadequate duty of care actions during a football match on 15 April 1989.

A deadly huge explosion hit the center of the Afghan capital Kabul, resulting in several deaths and leaving more than 200 people injured, according to Kabul officials.

According to interior ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi, the deadly blast was carried out by a suicide bomber, who planted a bomb in a vehicle. Meanwhile, gunfire can still be heard in the area.

More than half of Muslims in the U.K. think homosexuality should be banned, while nearly half think it’s inappropriate for gay people to teach children in schools, according to a new survey by the polling agency ICM.

The results come from survey of 1,081 British Muslims by ICM for a TV program called What British Muslims Really Think. The TV program airs on Wednesday this week on Britain’s Channel 4, but the findings have already triggered quite an uproar in the U.K.

Most of the passengers and crew members have been freed from the Egyptian plane that was hijacked by a passenger who claimed to be wearing a suicide explosive belt.

Belgium has raised its terror threat to the highest level, with Belgian Prime Minister calling the nation to “show calmness and solidarity.”

On Tuesday at about 07:00 GMT twin explosions struck the departures area of Zaventem airport, and another explosion hit Maelbeek metro station an hour later. The metro is located close to a few EU institutions.

Russia is set to continue air strikes in Syria, according to a Russian military official. Despite the withdrawal of most of Russia’s forces from Syria, the Russians don’t think they have defeated terrorism, which is why it’s “too early” to talk about withdrawing all of the forces. 

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Nikolay Pankov revealed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s plans to continue bombing terrorist groups as well as opposition in Syria.
