Royal Baby Has Arrived: It's A Princess
Posted in: CURRENT AFFAIRS
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has given birth to a healthy baby girl. The Kensington Palace announced earlier today that the royal baby was "safely delivered" at 08:34 BST, and weighed 8lbs 3oz (3.7kg). The Duke of Cambridge, without a doubt, was present for the birth of the royal baby. As of press time, the name of the baby hasn’t yet been announced by the palace, nor the royal family.
Earlier this week, Kate Middleton had been admitted to the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington. It is the same hospital where the couple's first born child, Prince George, was delivered back in July 2013. The palace announced in their earlier statements that, “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news." The royal baby girl is fourth in line to the British throne.
