Posted in: TRAVEL
Before you hit the big 30s, why not go on an adventure and travel the world? It may seem daunting and frightening at first, but taking chances will yield a positive result when you look back at photos and videos of your travels. If you feel like quitting your job so as to travel the world, then by all means use your better judgment and grab that backpack or suitcase of yours.
Here are some of our own travel recommendations for women who would like to go on a self-journey before turning 30:
Are you dreaming of a rural escape away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of Bangkok? Then take the train going to Chiang Mai. Let your mind be unclouded as you sit there and enjoy the passing scenery. Upon arriving in Chiang Mai, Pai is then only three hours away. You can take the minivan, bus or if you prefer an adventure on your own, rent your own motorbike and drive the treacherous roads going to this gem in Northern, Thailand. Unspoiled and immaculate in every aspect, you will definitely love the laid back rural feel that only Pai can offer. Take idle walks or read your favorite book as you lay there in your hammock, this is what you call the authentic “Life of Pai.”
Luang Prabang, Laos
Luang Prabang remains frozen in time. A charming and picturesque town, you’ll soon realize that Laos has more to offer from its thriving city of Vientiane. Considered to be the jewel of Indochina, Luang Prabang offers a beautiful and breath-taking scenery. Rent a bicycle or better yet a motor bike to explore the surrounding countryside for there’s more to this town than its grandiose architecture and stunning temples.
If you could only go to one place in Vietnam let it be Sapa. Situated in northern Vietnam and almost bordering the Chinese perimeter, Sapa is meant to be explored for those who would like to rekindle their adventurous spirits. A German traveler once exclaimed, “Sapa is the most beautiful place on this earth!”. Sounds intriguing. With hundreds of rice paddies as your resplendent backdrop and friendly Hmong natives to talk to, Sapa will definitely take you to another dimension.
Prague, Czech Republic
They say that Paris is the most romantic city in the world but Prague might out Paris in a few years. If you’re planning to embark on a European trip, make sure not to miss this vibrant city on your list. With so much to see, you might extend your stay in Prague for its charm will linger on and might continue to haunt you. The Prague Castle is dubbed to be the biggest ancient castle in the world so don’t ever skip this beauty!
Machu Picchu, Peru
A UNESCO world heritage site, Macu Picchu stands tall and proud in the high mountains of Peru. Rich in history, this archeological site is dubbed to be the ‘lost city of the Incas’. Travelers who wish to marvel at this ancient structure may opt the easiest path by taking the train, or for the adventurous ones the 2-day hike and the 4-Day Inca Trail hike might suit you best. Embark on this journey and never look back. You might want to consider giving yourself a pat in the back for doing these unforgettable adventures.
