PETA Activists Say "No To Fur!" at the Hype of London Fashion Week
Posted in: FEATURE
London Fashion Week certainly opened with a bang. While everyone else is clad in glamorous outfits and eccentric ensembles to attend the shows, several PETA activists rallied outside wearing nothing but gas masks and hazard signs in an effort to raise awareness against people wearing fur during the hype of fashion week season. The signs read: "Fur is toxic."
This isn't the first time PETA showed up at a fashion event to protest a meaningful cause; in fact, they've been in almost every fashion event possible in order to brand the iconic statement, saying, "We'd rather go naked than wear fur."
PETA sent model activists during fashion week season carrying a huge banner that says: "We'd rather go naked than wear fur."
According to PETA Associate Director Elisa Allen, "There's nothing fashionable about fur torn from the bodies of struggling animals and then laden with chemicals that are dangerous to people who wear it. We (PETA) are urging kind people to choose fur-free clothing for the sake of their own health and animal welfare."
Model activists carry signs that says: "Fashion should be beautiful, not bloody."
Here, model activists carry dead and skinned animals with signs that says: "Here's the rest of your fur coat."
