We're all about eating deliciously gratifying foods when we're in dire need of inspiration, comfort or just plain hungry (hey, we're guilty as charged!). And since the city of London is home to a number of amazingly good restaurants, cafes and bars, we're going to share with you a go-to favourite cuisine: Mexican. There's just something about Mexican food that's drawing us more and more to eating at a taco joint or two... and drink tequilas to our heart's content. With this in mind, we've gathered 7 of our favourite Mexican restaurants that will definitely remind you of Mexico, from tacos, quesadillas to homemade spices and more. See below:

Founded by MasterChef winner, Thomasina Miers, Wahaca is now considered as one of London's biggest and best-known Mexican restaurants to date. It has 12 branches across the capital and regularly appears at several street food markets. Popular dishes include frijoles topped with crumbled cheese, pounded guacamole and steak tacos. Their margaritas are also worth the hype.

Mestizo Restaurant & Tequila Bar

Mestizo is famed for its blended cultural menu that's reminiscent of modern Mexico as well as the varied Mexican districts. Selection includes nachos, burritos, tacos and more. It offers an all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch buffet whilst offering traditional mains and desserts.

Location: Mestizo Restaurant & Tequila Bar, 103 Hampstead Rd, London NW1 3EL, United Kingdom

Casa Morita

It may present a rustic, mistmatched set-up, but Casa Morita's homemade tacos are the bomb; it's well seasoned and amazingly chewy topped with Mexican flavours, fillings and salsa. Its mezcal cocktails are highly recommended.

Location: Casa Morita, 9 Market Row, London SW9 8LB, United Kingdom

Boho Mexica

Considered as one of London's most authentic Mexican restaurants, Boho Mexica speaks of its name. The restaurant's kitchen only uses recipes that have been passed down through generation's of the owner's family, resulting to a richly flavoured menu. Familiar dishes include quesadillas, tacos and empanadas.

Location: Boho Mexica, 151-153 Commercial St, London E1 6BJ, United Kingdom

Taqueria is famous for its takeaway. And what do people usually get? Tacos. Inspired by the Mexican street traders, this restaurant mimics a fast-casual service that people love. Highly recommended meals are its homemade tortillas decked with all of the vibrant spices, meat, fish and vegetable. This taco joint is definitely a city favourite.

Location: Taqueria, 141-145 Westbourne Grove, London W11 2RS, United Kingdom

Location: DF/Mexico, Hanbury St, London E1 6QR, United Kingdom

DF/Mexico houses your favourite Mexican treats such as tacos, quesadillas and burritos; a perfect restaurant for your daily takeways right after work. We're especially loving their torta delicacy, a Mexican sandwich served New York style in a toasted brioche bun with smashed avocado, slaw and house pickle. You will also enjoy hanging out with several creative minds such as DJs, graphic designers and more. It's also a fashionable place to eat out.

Cafe Pacifico

Cafe Pacifico's long-running bar along the Covent Garden area has already given us all the reasons to love their Texas-Mexico dishes. Plus, their tequila is especially addictive. Whether you munch on your favourite quesadillas or devour a delicious fajitas, top it off with a drink or two... or three; just drink responsibly.
