This brilliant 2015 movie features Helen Mirren as Maria Altmann. She was a Jewish refugee who fought tooth and nail to recover a family heirloom from the Austrian Government. The valuable portrait of her aunt was taken away by the Nazis at the start of WWII. 60 years later, the elderly Maria teamed up with a young lawyer to fight a 10-year legal battle to get it back. This moving film is almost certain to pick up some awards in the next year or so. It is another wonderful example of a determined woman looking for justice and stopping at nothing to see the battle through to the bitter end, despite setbacks and overwhelming odds.
