London Weekend Explorer: May Bank Holiday Weekend
Posted in: LOCAL
While we love spring, we're also looking forward to embracing the warm weather that summer brings. And the season usually brings a ton of things to do whilst the sun is shining bright. So let's start, shall we? First, Alice Through the Looking Glass is finally showing, and Soapbox Science is here to educate us all about the relevance of science in our daily lives. And the best part about summer? The Brixton Beach Boulevard event. Check out the rest of things you can do this weekend below:
Alice Through the Looking Glass
After getting back from the bizarre world of Underland, Alice must make a journey back to the mysterious world through a magical mirror and back in time to retrieve the magic scepter to stop the malicious Lord of Time from turning Wonderland into a lifeless barren land. Alice and her friends must put the Queen of Hearts back on the throne. See the full article here, or watch the trailer below:
Up for a little burger action this weekend? Head over to Bleecker Burger in Old Spitalfields for a sumptuous burger meal. We're especially craving for Double Cheeseburger, Sweet Potato Fries and Coffee Shake. (PS: We'll be working out as soon as we stepped out of the resto!) It opens at 11:30AM till 9PM Mondays through Fridays, and opens around 11AM during weekends. The best part? They also offer pickup and delivery options.

Crosstown Doughnut & Coffee Bar
No one does donut better than Crosstown Doughnut & Coffee Bar located at 4 Broadwick Street! They have classic and seasonal donuts to choose from, whether you're looking for something to eat alone, to bring at home or to bring to a client meeting for work; the choices are endless. Apart from their dining experience, they also have Click and Collect as well as Delivery services so you're sure to get the donuts you deserved. Our healthy favourite is their Granola & Strawberry Jam which is perfect for a breakfast treat. If you're looking to pair up your coffee, this order the Coffee Custard Scroll for a definite wake up call; it has sweet coffee glaze which will leave you wanting for more.

Dinerama @ Street Feast London
If you're looking to truly satisfy your cravings for anything delicious or "unhealthy", then head over to Dinerama located at 19 Great Eastern Street for a slew of menu you could not possibly resist. We highly recommend you try their Fundi Pizza, Cheeky Italian, Smokesteak and BBQ Lab. And to quench your thirst from all that savoury foods, head over to Dinerama's Big Bar for their all-new menu of giant festival-sized cocktails. Truly exciting, yes?

Soapbox Science 2016 London
Take your kids to an educational and fun experience this weekend by going to the Soapbox Science event in London! The Southbank Centre will be transformed into a hub of scientific learning and discussion, and it will not only benefit the kids but the parents as well. Some of UK's top female scientists will be present in the event to showcase science to everyone, as well as help eliminate gender inequality in science by challenging the public's view. It's definitely one event worth noting!
Location: Southbank Centre, Belvedere Rd, London SE1 8XX, United Kingdom
Brixton Beach Boulevard
And what better way to end the long weekend than by hitting up Brixton Beach Boulevard for a party 'til you drop event on a rooftop beach. The inspiration of the event is Miami circa 1982 and there'll be lots of DJs, cockatails, retro film screenings, live sports broadcasts and of course, food stalls. Tickets to the event start at £4 and is pretty much reasonable for an endless fun under the sun this summer.
