It's officially June, everybody! And what does that usually mean? Warm weather (23 to 26 degrees, to be exact!). But before you bask in the beach this summer, why don't you head over to the nearest cinemas and watch Me Before You for a tear-jerking moment with your loved ones? And then head over to Chicken Shop or Andina for a sumptuous meal after watching the movie? And to retire your heart happily this weekend, head over to the Born & Bred Festival for a night full of music, dancing and pure fun. There are lots of things happening in the City of London, and below is a must for you to try:
Me Before You
Did you know the movie is actually an adaptation from Jojo Moyes’s very successful 2012 novel of the same name? Move over, Nicholas Sparks, we might have a new writer tugging at our heartstrings. See full article here, or watch the trailer below:
The Nice Guys
Based on a 1970s Los Angeles backdrop, The Nice Guys movie is all about private eye Holland March (starring Ryan Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (playe by Russell Crowe) and how they should work together to to solve the case of a missing girl and the death of a porn star. Sounds intriguing? Well, it actually is! See the trailer below:
Start your weekend on the right foot by heading over to one of London's famous diner, the Chicken Shop along 79 Highgate Road. which serves the best rotisserie chickens there is! The secret to their delicious and chicken is that they're marinated overnight, steamed and then spit-roasted over charcoal for that oozing goodness. We highly recommend you order Chicken Shop's grilled free-range chicken with chips and salads plus Italian beer. Yum!
Location: Chicken Shop, 79 Highgate Rd, London NW5 1TL, United Kingdom
Drawing inspiration from the culinary traditions of Peru, Andina found at 1 Redchurch Street also promotes the contemporary cooking by some of Peru's leading chefs and in the industry. The Andina's kitchen team has developed a menu primarily celebrating the owner's Andean roots, with Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. We're especially looking forward for brunch at Andina, taking advantage of their healthy and delicious serving such as Granola Andina & Greek Yoghurt, Eggs, Avocado, Sourdough Toast and Picante de Huevos.

Home to Indian-style serving, Gunpowder found along 11 White's Row is inspired by family recipes as well as the vibrant, confident flavours of home cooking evident in India. Our favourite Gunpowder menu is their organic baby chicken chargrilled in tandoori spices, as well as their nagaland house crispy pork ribs with tamarind kachumber. They also have vegan offerings that are just as delicious.
