Kylie Jenner's Million Dollar Puma Campaign Is Setting the Internet on Fire... but Not for a Good Reason

Kylie Jenner is literally everywhere. From lip kits, clothing lines... and now, shoes. If you're a fitness enthusiast, chances are, you already know that Kylie Jenner signed a million dollar deal with Puma regardless of Kanye West's hesitation online. People actually thought that the campaign was no longer in sight because Kanye is closely tied up with Adidas, Puma's competitor. But when the promotional photos were finally released online, everybody were torn on what to think.

The Kylie x Puma campaign sees the younger Jenner debuting the "Fierce" collection, a lightweight, laceless sneaker style that's meant to combine sport and fashion. The advert may seem quite mismatched since we don't often see Kylie working out, but according to Adam Petrick, global director of brand and marketing for Puma, "Kylie Jenner represents the young and bright future of fashion and fitness for women and we are excited to have her be the face of this campaign."

However, critics think the company only chose the uber-popular 18-year-old Kylie Jenner to rake in sales and not for a fitness-appropriate purpose. Some users vented out via Twitter to express their disappointment over the choice of model for the campaign:

Whether it is Puma's move to target young people or cash in on the Kardashian-Jenner mania, only time will tell what they are really up to. And just like the rest of the world, even we wonder since when did Kylie Jenner become an image of fitness?
