Get Ready for Swimsuit Season
Posted in: Wellbeing
If you’re like most people, then the coming summer season is getting you excited, but at the same time you might be feeling a little bit anxious. After all, the winter hasn’t exactly been conducive to getting out there and exercising, or even just watching what we eat. So who’s really excited about getting into that swimsuit for the first time? Summer is coming fast but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing you can do about getting your body into shape. A number of programs will claim to help you get that beach ready body fast. What you really need is the combination of an exercise program and a diet program. You want to get your body in shape but you also want to make sure you’re healthy while you’re doing it.
The best way to lose weight is to make sure that you are exercising every day. You want to spend at least 30 minutes a day (if possible) working out with cardio or strength. In order to get the best results, then you should mix the two. This means one day you would work on strength exercises and the next day you work on cardio. Working for half an hour each day will help you get in shape and lose weight without wearing out your body too much.
Working on planks, crunches, side crunches and pushups is going to help you get your body into shape the way that you want it to be without having to learn a lot of new exercises that may be complicated. Enjoy your workout. If you prefer riding a bike, swimming or dancing, go for it. Half an hour per day will make a big difference.
Eating right is going to help you get into better shape, faster. If you start a great exercise plan but continue to eat unhealthy foods like you have been, then the exercise is not going to help you lose weight at all. You want to make sure that you’re eating a lot of fruit and vegetables and not as much protein. Protein is good for you but your body doesn’t need anywhere near as much as many of us are actually eating. Remember to eat more of what’s good for you. Your doctor will be able to tell you how many calories a day is healthy for you to cut. By cutting the amount of calories that you eat and exchanging some of those calories for better foods such as fruits and vegetables you will be swimsuit ready in no time. Snacks, like grapes, carrot sticks or oat bars, are going to help you feel full much longer as well as allow you to eat more for the limited number of calories that you have.
By combining these exercises and dieting you’ll be able to get yourself into the best shape of your life. Even better, if you start right now you can actually get yourself in shape in time for swimsuit season. Don’t waste even a minute. Start today and you’ll love the way your body looks when it’s time to put on that bathing suit.
