Charles Pétillon's Installation "Heartbeat" at Covent Garden Market
Posted in: FEATURE
Let your heart skip a beat in the middle of London with Charles Pétillon's latest installation called, "Heartbeat". It's currently a main attraction at the Covent Garden, making everyone stop and stare with awe and amazement. An estimated 100,000 white balloons were installed and suspended in mid-air at the Grade II-listed 19th century building. It's a breath of fresh air for the passersby and onlookers who are looking to rest from a busy day in the city. Asked what he wanted to get out of his most recent art, Charles said: “I wanted to create a kind of bridge with the past of this space, to show that it is still alive. Creating a huge heart was the best way to show that.”
“Heartbeat” will continue to amaze everyone who comes to London's Covent Garden from August 27 to September 27. While you’re at it, don't forget to bring your camera!
