Celebrity Fitness Clothing Lines You Need to Know (And Shop!)
Posted in: FITNESS
When you're equally as famous as the Queen of England, what do you do for extra mileage (and extra cash?). You venture into the clothing business. And if you're like any of the A-listers we're going to feature below, you're wise enough to launch a fitness clothing line that's certainly going to be a hit. After all, who doesn't want to look stylish while working out, right? Fitness and fashion seem to go hand in hand right now, and these celebrities are proof that when you're famous in Hollywood, anything is possible. The appeal of "sports luxe" clothes seem to be the trend these days anyway, and fitness wear has come a long, long way since the old tracksuits we all wore at one point in our lives. We wouldn't be surprised if the Kardashian-Jenner clan is going to venture into this business in the coming months (Kylie Jenner seems to be picking it up with her controversial Puma collab)!
Check out some fitness clothing lines owned or are partnered up with famous celebrities below:
Ivy Park by Beyonce Knowles
It's hard to officially keep up with Beyonce, having launched and released several amazing things this 2016 alone. The Lemonade singer and songwriter is the recent celebrity to hop into the fitness clothing line business, launching Ivy Park for all the health and fashion enthusiasts the world over. Whether you're looking for a cropped tee, a hoodie, leggings or a runner shorts, Ivy Park is going to satisfy your needs for anything stylish and fitness-related. It's no surprise that everyone seemed to be head over heels about her latest venture (we're guilty as charged!). Her spring/summer 2016 collection is a collaboration with Sir Philip Green of the retail giant Arcadia Group, and is now available for purchase via Topshop, Zalando and JD Sports in the UK.
Fabletics by Kate Hudson
Launched back in October 2013, Kate Hudson co-founded the Fabletics fitness clothing line which comes as no surprise because of her physically fit physique and beauty. According to the 37-year-old actress, she hopes that launching her fitness clothing line will inspire women to embrace a more healthy lifestyle, saying, “That was a huge goal for us, to inspire women to empower themselves by getting active and taking care of their gorgeous selves, not as a fad or a quick fix, but as a way of living that promotes health, community, determination, passion and joy." You can purchase the products online, or you can choose to join a VIP membership for outfit recommendations and discounts.
CALIA by Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood is not just a musician by heart, she's also an avid fitness enthusiast. This paved the way for launching her own fitness clothing line called CALIA which is available at the Dick's Sporting Goods. When asked why she named her brand CALIA, she said that she was "inspired by the Greek word for beauty, Kallos, as well as calla lilies". The Grammy-award winning singer made sure that her collection includes mid-range priced products featuring pants, tops, accessories and more. You can check out her online store here.
Impact by Jillian Michaels at Kmart
If you're fond of watching reality TV series, then you might already be acquianted with celebrity personal trainer, Jillian Michaels. Apart from having her own reality show, the former The Biggest Loser coach also has an eponymous fitness clothing line called Impact by Jillian Michaels which is available at Kmart since August 2014. Her brand offers 24 different styles in four categories such as running, yoga, core training and lifestyle which include pieces like tees, bras, jackets, bottoms and accessories. And because Jillian has been a personal trainer since time immemorial, she knows that it's all in the details when working out; her products have highly technical details such as cooling properties, wicking and reflective details.
