The Achingly Romantic Moments From The Light Between the Oceans
Posted in: FILM THIS WEEKEND
Get ready to be swept away by a wave of emotion this weekend, as The Light Between the Oceans opens in theaters. It’s a beautiful romantic drama, adapted from the novel of the same name by M. L. Stedman, and it is set to be an emotional rollercoaster ride.
But, that’s not the only reason we are excited about the movie. Hollywood’s current favorite IRL couple Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander come together to unfurl the romance - and we can’t help but point out- these two are just bursting with chemistry!
The heartwarming story of a lighthouse keeper and his wife who raise a baby they rescue as their own, is filled with tear-jerking moments. The couple, Tom Sherbourne and Isabel Graysmark, living on a small island is played by Fassbender and Vikander.
The movie also happens to be the film which they fell in love while shooting - and, we can totally see why and how in some of the sweetest romantic moments in it. Want a taste of what we are getting at? Here are some of the most achingly romantic clips released from the movie.
Home at Janus - The first clip titled “Home at Janus”, gives us a glimpse into the life at their humble abode and secluded life on the island, and a sneak peak into a passionate kiss ( we are definitely swooning).
The Shave - Last time we saw a romantic shave scene in a movie was when “Me Before You” wrecked us with its. But, in this short clip we see Alicia giving Michael a shave, and we have to admit it is clumsy but so cute that our hearts cannot stay still right now!
The Birthday Present - The last clip released by the makers, is just about Michael Fassbender being a loving husband and father while he opens a birthday present. And, this clip even though not in a romantic context, does make us melt with all its warmth and cuteness.
So, it is almost established how emotional we are going to be while watching this film. Just seeing these two together gives us major relationship goals - whether on screen or off it!
