VietGrill features a modern yet cosy Vietnamese ambience when you visit their place along Kingsland Road, Shoreditch. Despite emulating the busy life of Vietnam, it features the aromatic flavours the country is known for. One of their famous dish is the “Butter Fish Curry”, a delicious blend of dried tamarind, coconut milk and red curry along with the smoky flavour of South Asian curry leaf takes this curry to divine levels.

Mein Tay: Located in Battersea& Shoreditch.

This Vietnamese food haven is famous for their South Western take on Vietnamese food. We recently visited their new Shoreditch branch on the Viet food sprawling Kingsland Road, and we absolutely loved their menu. For starters, we had the ‘Salt, Pepper and Garlic King Prawns’, followed by ‘Whole Crispy Fried Seabream with Lemongrass and Chili’ and ‘Stir-Fried Prawns with Tamarind’. ‘The Whole Crispy Fried Seabream with Lemongrass and Chili’ dish that was cooked succulently with lemongrass was beyond perfection, it casted its spell from the very first bite we took. After this first dining experience at Mein Tay, we are unanimous in saying that we have found our new favourite Vietnamese restaurant on the vast Kingsland Road.

Que Viet Restaurant: [Located in Hoxton]

The overall menu of this restaurant is fabulous from their dumplings, stir fries, frog’s legs and down to their famous ‘hot pot’. Try their ‘Monkfish Curry’, which is a gentle blend of spic and sweet, and the ‘Lightly Fried Seabass with Dill and Lemongrass’ with a bowl of egg fried rice for that lovely tasting meal.

Pho Café [multiple locations]

We visited their Islington branch to try their famous Pho. The warm and filling pho soup is available all throughout London. Also, try the spicier Bun soup available in chicken, beef, prawns and fish variants.
