10 Movies that'll Tickle Your Fancy this Summer
Posted in: FILMS AND MUSIC
Summers are full of contradiction. As much as we want to be outside, soaking up the suns and bringing out those sunnies, we are also drained enough to stay indoors at the same time. It is also a peak time for the biggest movie releases and the 2016 roster looks exciting enough for us to help us make the decision. And, with all the following of our favourite stars returning to the screen – the AC+Movie Tickets+Popcorn routine is definitely up for the win!
Ryan Gosling in Nice Guys
The blue-eyed boy of Hollywood returns, this time with a hilarious action-comedy. He teams up with Russel Crowe as a privet eye and a hired enforcer duo investigating the death of a porn star in the 70s.
Tom Hanks in A Hologram for the King
It doesn’t get bigger than Tom Hanks and if there’s a Tom Hanks comedy film in the horizon, we must drop everything and watch it. In this one he plays a failed businessman who travels to Saudi Arabia to sell his idea to a monarch. Hilarious hijinks guaranteed!
Emilia Clarke in Me Before You
The beautiful actress and everyone’s favourite Khaleesi, stars opposite the suave Sam Claflin in this heartwarming romance film which is also one of the most awaited movies this summer. Tissues recommended.
Blake Lively in The Shallows
The sultry hot-bod Blake Lively stars in this bone-chilling thriller about a Shark attack. We promise you wouldn’t have been so scared of sharks since Jaws.
Matt Damon in and as Jason Bourne
A brooding Matt Damon (like we like him best), returns as THE Jason Bourne in the next Bourne film. Julia Stiles is back on the screen too, so let’s gear up for some fast paced action.
Jared Leto in Suicide Squad
Jared Leto’s has always teased and mesmerized us, but nothing like with his Joker look ever before. We are also up for a revisiting the Joker’s antics, after Heath Ledger immortalized the character, in this anti-hero superhero flick.
Melissa McCarthy in Ghostbusters
The queen of comedy returns with this remake of a classic comedy film. This film is already on the radar of pop culture buffs and we can’t wait for some classic ghostbusters fun.
Mila Kunis in Bad Moms
The pretty Mila Kunis stars in this comedy film about moms (duh!). Coming from the writers of Hangover, this one clearly shows some potential.
Chris Pine in Star Trek Beyond
C’mon it’s a Star Trek movie, which means we are sold already. And then there’s the matter of Chris Pines eyes and attention drawing capabilities. Also, more Spock!
Mark Ruffalo and Daniel Radcliffe in Now You See Me 2
It’s a double bonus with Mark Ruffalo AND Daniel Radcliffe in this sequel where the Four Horsemen return and are recruited by a tech genius to pull off a near impossible heist.
