This week, China published its weakest annual economic growth in 25 years, which in part triggered fears at the global stock markets. Global stock markets also fell amid the plunging oil prices on Wednesday. But then, the next day, on Thursday, European stock markets started making small gains. 

Meanwhile, Thursday morning brought tensions in the relations between Britain and Russia, as a British inquiry was released, accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of giving orders to kill a former KGB spy back in 2006.

According to China’s National Bureau of Statistics, gross domestic product expanded by 6.9% in 2015, which is China’s weakest figures in a quarter century.
