Islamist extremist once again sent shivers down Europe’s spine this week. At least 12 people were killed in an attack on the Christmas market in Berlin, Germany. While the market once again reopened, police officers across Europe remain on high alert, as the terror threat still remains very high.

As UK Prime Minister Theresa May urges Britons to not be “cowed to terrorists” this Christmas, Britons and Europeans cannot help but be worried for possible new terror attacks.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered his scientists to start developing nuclear-powered ships. The news comes after the Iran’s President accused the U.S. of violating the Iran nuclear deal, negotiated by the outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama last year.

Last month, the U.S. Congress adopted measures that allow Washington to re-impose sanctions on Iran. The Iran nuclear deal, negotiated last year, halted Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting international sanctions against Tehran.

ISIS is trying to win back its stronghold – the Iraqi city of Falluja. It was recently reported that Iraqi troops encircled the city, trying to drive out the militant group from the city. 

Iraq’s Ministry of Defense posted a video on Monday, in which it shows Iraqi Gen. Hamid al-Maliki making a statement saying that Falluja was surrounded by Iraqi forces.
